McCabe Gasoline Level Indicator Paste

Colour Change: From LIGHT BLUE To DARK BLUE
McCabe Gasoline Level Indicator Paste is a light sky blue colour and turns darker blue when immersed in light petroleum products.
Applied to a Dipping Tape and lowered to the bottom of a tank, the paste changes colour where it comes into contact with fuel, giving you a visual indication as to the depth of the fuel.
Some of the products that the gasoline paste is used to gauge are as follows:
- Gasoline
- Diesel
- Kerosene
- #2 Heating Oil
- Jet Fuel
- Naphtha
- Light Crude Oil
- Transmix
- Gasoline blended with Ethanol
Use:
- Spread a smooth, even coat of the product on the bob or gauging device where you expect the air/product interface (ullage gauge) to be located.
- Lower the bob or gauging device throguh the area where you expect the air/product interface to be located.
- Leave immersed for approximately ten seconds and the paste will begin to turn dark blue.
- When reading the results, note a straight, sharp demarcation on the gauging device, light blue above/dark blue below.
Storage / Lifespan:
- Keep the caps tight to avoid moisture contamination.
- Store between 50 – 85 degrees F.
- No production / expiry dates are printed on the products or packaging.
- Mccabe recommend a lifespan of 5 years if stored properly with lids securely tightened. Product can exceed this lifespan.
