The Robinson Manufacturing Co. Inc. LPG Pressure Hydrometer Cylinders are used to determine the specific gravity of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), such as propane, butane, and other light hydrocarbons under vapour pressure conditions corresponding to the temperature of the liquid. The cylinder is constructed of a transparent plastic barrelheld between aluminum end plates with stainless-steel tie-rods and a stainless-steel safety guard. The cylinder has a working pressure of 200 psi and is equipped with a relief valve that is set for this pressure. ASTM designation D1657, and GPA2140.
