Ofite Mud Balance

The Ofite® Mud Balance is used to measure the density of a given volume of liquid. As there is no reliable visual method of determining the density of drilling mud, the mud balance is the most reliable and accurate form a measurement. The balance features a mud cup at one end of the beam that is balanced by a fixed counterweight at the other end, with a sliding-weight rider that moves along a graduated scale permits precise measurements. A level bubble is mounted on the beam to ensure balancing.
