Hazardous Area Centrifuges, Class 1, Division 2, Group D (NEC and CEC)

The Robinson Hazardous Area Centrifuges are designed to safely operate in hazardous areas that are deemed Class 1, Division 2, Group D. The centrifuges use an air-driven motor and explosion-proof switches eliminating the chance of electrical spark and potential accidents. Used for determining sediment and water (S&W) content of crude oil, the centrifuges are available in both heated and non- heated models.

Centrifuge Features:

• Solid-cast aluminum housing withstands harsh field conditions.
• Pressure regulator control with an “off” position for a slow, smooth start, and speed control.
• Non-lubricated air motor eliminates the need for oil, service and maintenance.
• Spring-loaded lid-latch holds lid closed during operation.
• Lid access hole allows operator to check centrifuge RPMs with a handheld tachometer while lid is closed.
• Built-in sample heater offers convenience and saves space by eliminating the need for a separate heater. Heats up to four (4) samples. Available on heated models only.
• Explosion proof factory sealed heater switches prevent ignition of external, flammable atmospheres in hazardous locations. Available on heated models only.
